School of Creole Wrasse

Clepticus parrae

Roatan, Honduras, 2003

While drift diving along a dropoff edge, I saw this school of Creole Wrasse approaching. I had enough time to get into position and wait till they arrived right in front of me. These colorful fish cruise back and forth across the reef face, pausing to feed on plankton in the water.
