On
a drift dive, I had found a deep crack in a wall near the CoCo View Resort,
and noticed the proliferation of sea fans in the crack. Looking up through
the fans from out on the wall, I had the idea to place a diver up above
and try to render a dark silouette. Later in the week we returned to the
site and tried a variety of compositions, bracketing exposures to try
to get at least one useable image. Turns out we got two.
