Don &
Ninette:
Lynette and I were snowed in last week here in Knoxville, so the golf course
was closed. I was co-opted into going to the mall to walk. After a brisk
stroll, Lynette was sucked into the Apple store to look at I-pads. They
had at least 50 of them on tables set up for demonstration, and another
50 computer screens around the walls. In the process of the salesman explaining
to Lynette in painful detail how the gizmo worked, I played around with
one nearby. I wanted to see the screen resolution so I punched up your website
and looked through your gallery of aquatic images.
The images were spectacular as always, and while admiring them, I felt some
heavy breathing on my neck. The store manager had come up behind me and
wanted to know how I found the gallery. He then did a slow whistle, mumbled
something and left. Lynette decided the I-pad was too complicated and moved
on, grumbling that a Kindle was much easier, and cheaper. As we exited the
store, I heard about 40 people such in air at the same time. The store manager
had somehow called up your site, and was displaying it on every screen in
the place. Those shots are pretty good, but they are startling when you
see them on 100 screens at once.
If you start getting some print orders from the snowbound regions in the
mid-west, you can send flowers to the Apple guy.
We think of you folks often, and still tell our friends of our visit. Take
care.
